November is a great time to visit Cairns. It will be warming up, but it's not too het yet, and the chances of rain are still pretty slim. It's the perfect month to experience the "Kuranda Skyrail and Scenic Train", you'll get an up close look at the mighty Barron Falls, and beleive me, they will be spectacular.

An option that is very popular all year, is a cruise to "Green Island & The Reef". You'll get to spend the morning on ever popular Green Island and then visit an outer reef pontoon for snorkelling and/or scuba diving in the afternoon.

Cairns grinds to a halt on the first Tuesday in November, with the Melbourne Cup on almost every TV screen and radio. Many restaurants and clubs hold special functions.

Humidity starts to increase, and clouds roll in most afternoons, but we don't actually get much rain. The rain comes towards the end of the wet, in February and March.
