Scuba Diving

With both introductory and certified scuba diving available as well as Seawalker Helmet diving, everyone can experience the underwater world of the Great Barrier Reef. No experience is necessary to have a go at introductory diving. You're given a short lesson and never far away from your scuba instructor while underwater.

Or for an amazing underwater walking experience, let Seawalker's expert guides show you the wonders of the reef as you stroll along Green Island lagoon's sea floor. There's no equipment to operate, non-swimmers welcome and you don't even have to get your har wet!

For qualified scuba divers we also have certified diving available. 

Seawalker 

Immerse yourself in the marine wonderland of the Great Barrier Reef and discover the underwater world from a different perspective. It’s a fun and engaging adventure you can share with your family and friends.

Seawalker offers an amazing underwater helmet diving experience on the Great Barrier Reef. It’s unique in that you walk on the seafloor surrounded by colourful tropical fish and corals at beautiful Green Island. There is no equipment to operate and non-swimmers are welcome; Seawalker is accessible to almost everyone and you don’t even have to get you hair wet!

Boat Snorkel Tour

Whilst all passengers get a free choice of either snorkelling or a glass bottom boat ride, our boat snorkel tour will show you the best snorkelling sites at Green Island. You will be taken to one of our four dive sites about 1.5km from Green Island to explore and swim amongst colourful marine life and coral gardens. Our snorkelling safety officer [lifeguard] is on hand to supervise and direct you to the best areas of the site. 

Helicopter Options

Enjoy spectacular views of Green Island and the Great Barrier Reef. Sit back, relax and enjoy this safe and exhilarating bird’s eye view of the reef. Both 10 and 15 minute scenic flights are available. Or maybe take advantage of our Fly / Cruise Full Day Tour, start your day with a helicopter flight to Green Island, have a go at both snorkelling and the Glass Bottom Boat as well as enjoy a tropical buffet lunch before cruising back to Cairns.
