There is so much to discover out on the water but the most exciting is spotting marine wildlife. Every day is different but wild life frequently spotted on our kayak tours include sea turtles, schools of fish, sea eagles, dolphins, dugong, sting rays and the occasional whale passing during migration season (July and August).
Seeing this amazing tropical environment from your kayak is a very low impact and eco friendly way to travel through this pristine area. We are very proud to have been awarded advanced eco certification for both our morning and afternoon tours by Eco Tourism Australia.
The Morning Paddle
Departs at 8.30 am for a 3.5 hour adventure.
We take to the waters of Cape Tribulation bay in our sturdy one or two person kayaks and explore the unique environment where the rainforest meets the reef. Your experienced local guide will lead you around the magnificent Cape Trib headland while looking out for marine wildlife. You will land on Myall Beach for a rest, relax and morning tea of tropical fruit juice and homemade cake. On the way back to Cape Trib beach we explore the fringing coral reefs, taking in the stunning views of the coastal mountain ranges.
The Sunset Paddle
Departs at 3.30 pm for a 2.5 hour exploration of Cape Tribulation Bay.
Escape the heat of the day and have a leisurely paddle through the bay. Explore the fringing reefs and spot marine wild life. Enjoy the solitude and watch the sky light up as the sun sets behind Mt Sorrow.
Please note itineraries may change as we take into account all weather conditions, tides, and guests experience levels to maximise everyone’s enjoyment.
