Just an hour south of Cairns, Russell River Rafting has created a rafting dream on the Russell River. It's affordable, nail biting and exhilarating! With rapids ranging from grade 1 to 4, there is something for everyone on this river. The 2 man sports rafts are deflated and share carried in to the start of the river, this all adds to the hands on adventure. A reasonable level of fitness is required for this tour. Follow a single file track through the lush rainforest of Wooroonooran National Park to get to the crystal clear waters of the Russell River. After 3 hours of exhilarating white water rafting it's time to relax and enjoy a picnic lunch at the beautiful Golden Hole area. On the river Sports Rafts are group guided. Skilled guides show you how best to negotiate the rapids while maintaining a very safe environment in which you can enjoy the thrills. Our Sports Rafts are super stable. Anyone can do it! Our 4 Day Expedition is rated in the Top 10 wilderness adventures in the world, and is a once-in-a-lifetime experience! From the exhilarating helicopter in, through 4 days of gigantic Grade 5 rapids, breathtaking scenery and unforgettable companions, to the serenity of camping 3 nights under the stars in riverside rainforest clearings, you’ll never experience anything like it. Providing all transport including an exciting helicopter flight as access to the river, all rafting and camping equipment. All meals are supplied from Day 1 to afternoon tea on Day 4. On request we can arrange wetsuit or sleeping bag hire. You can bring your own Sleeping Bag or we can provide one at a cost.
Conditions: Subject to availability and weather conditions. An indemnity release form must be signed and the environmental levy paid when boarding. This trip is suitable for anyone aged 15+ with a reasonable level of fitness and swimming ability. | |
