Accommodation On The Tablelands

The picturesque Cairns Highlands is located over the mountain range about 1 hour's drive west from Cairns. It is home to a wonderful and diverse array of unique Australian native wild life living amongst the magnificent rainforests, volcanic lakes, waterfalls and some of the most fertile farming lands in Australia.

The general climate in this area is more temperate than the tropical humidity of the coast and is the only place you will find the need for open fire places during the winter months in the tropics. It does get a little "chilly" between May to September so visitors to this area are advised to have some light warm clothing with them for the early mornings, late evenings and nights.

Luxury Retreat Lodges

These luxury retreat lodges are nestled on 150 acres of Australian native bush high on a ridge overlooking the picturesque Atherton Tablelands in the Cairns Highlands, only 1 hour's scenic drive from Cairns. A great place to escape the riggers of modern day life.

The romantic self contained lodge accommodation with heated deck spas and private plunge pool offer privacy, peace and tranquillity with mountain walking tracks and panoramic views across the Atherton Tablelands.

From here you can enjoy sweeping views north and east towards Lake Tinaroo, while behind you rise the rugged ridges of Australia's Great Dividing Range.

Enjoy shopping for antiques, local arts & crafts and jewellery, wildlife spotting, bird watching, swimming, horse riding, rain forest walks, sightseeing, caving, exploring local weekend markets and all year round barramundi fishing on Lake Tinaroo. Visit historic villages like Yungaburra, old goldmines, crater lakes or the great Aussie Outback.
