This website has been operating
over 5 1/2 years now (since January 2000) and
we have been lucky enough to have been able to help quite a few people
with their holidays in Cairns. Some people even send emails occasionally to let us know
how much they enjoyed their tours while they were here. Here are a
few of them for you to read.......

Hello Visit Cairns,
I attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln (in the United
States) and
during the summer of 2000 was in Australia with a group from the
University.
The last city we visited was Cairns and some people from our group
went on
the Ultimate Party on June 5. It was a great time and I would highly
recommend it to anyone who is in the area. I meet so many awesome
people!
I thought that you might find it interesting to know that a friend
of mine
from the University met a guy from Canada on the Ultimate Party and
now they
are engaged! Their wedding is this April 26 in Nebraska.
We hope to make it back to Australia and the Ultimate Party in the
future.
Sincerely,
Received 6/03/03
We have just
returned to the UK and I am writing to thank you for your superb
recommendations, which really made the whole trip to Cairns a
fantastic experience never to be forgotten.
Uncle Brian's must
be the most original, unique and unforgettable tour in the entire
universe. We saw the Opera House, witnessed sunrise and sunset
over Uluru, watched a crocodile swim down a river in the wild, and
took a helicopter ride over the Great Barrier Reef, but if any of us
had to name our one, most favourite part of the trip, Uncle Brian's
tour would be at the top. It rained most of the day but we never
stopped laughing. Plus we saw a Platypus in the wild. Not
even the leeches or the bug bites could dampen the spirits. I
had a 9-year-old in tow and he is sending Gus the bus a present from
Bolton Wanderers. What other trip could you go on where at the
end the kids and ladies actually hug and kiss the driver!
Northern Delights
was great too. Next time, I would go a little
further into the rainforest beyond the Daintree and you need the best
part of a day at Hartley's Creek to see the farm in operation.
Tjapukai was
another one I could have spent more time at - Liam learned to throw a
spear and we both got to learn the art of boomerang throwing from
Ralph. But I missed a couple of shows because I wanted to look
at the shop before the last bus back.
All in all a
brilliant time was had by all and a second visit is a must to catch up
on all the places we needed more time at! If you want to
persuade lads, tell them that on our trip, out of 20, there were 14
young ladies (not counting my Mum), all in bikinis for the swimming.
If anyone is
not sure about Uncle Brian's, give them my email address and I will
persuade them it is an absolute necessity (and I won't mention leeches
or bugs or rain).
Thank you again.
Best regards

Hello Visit Cairns
I'm sorry it's taken me so long to get this
mail to you. I just wanted to let you know what a wonderful time my
parents had when they were up in Cairns. We were amazed nothing went
wrong as it was about 4 months before when we made all the reservations
via e-mail through you. They were picked up at the airport and for every
tour after that. They loved the York apartments and enjoyed every single
tour. You're offering a great service and I'll make sure to recommend it
to anybody and everybody who's thinking of venturing that way.
Thank you very much for a lovely time !
Keep up the excellent work and many
greetings from Belgium.

Hi Visit Cairns,
At last I have got around to thanking you
for your help with our holiday arrangements. The York Apartments
were great - the location was brilliant. Our short break in
Cairns was the highlight of our holiday - we both thoroughly enjoyed
it.
The Barrier Reef trip was unbelievable and
the night time adventure in the rainforest was something I never
thought I would be doing. We also went up to Kuranda on the
Skyrail - I have the t-shirt, but don't think I would ever do it
again. I thought I could overcome my fear of heights, but all I
can say is 'I have done it'.
Many, many thanks for your help and if we
ever come that way again, we shall definitely be contacting you.
All our best wishes

Hi Visit Cairns,
This is to say how much we enjoyed our holiday and found it hard to drag
ourselves away from the town to fly back home via Brisbane.
Many thanks for arranging the various tours and dinners and both
Kimberley
and I have remarked as to how well the days/evenings were planned. We
will
remember this holiday for a long time particularly Kimberley who scuba
dived
at Franklands island for the first time!
The weather was not too bad and had just finished the day at Franklands
and
onto the boat before the heavens opened up!
The variety of our activities made the holidays all the more enjoyable
as
well as the relaxing style of each of the tour operator. They had done a
wonderful job with each being unique in their own way. The best we found
was
Peachy, who was a real character and had us both sussed out!
Thank you again Pete and we are certainly passing on by word of mouth to
anyone planning a trip to Cairns to visit your site and seek your
assistance.
Kind regards,
David and Kimberley.

Hi Visit Cairns,
Just a short message of thanks for the organisation of both our
accommodation and trips on our recent trip to Cairns, it is sometimes a
concern that the Internet may not live up to its promises, well the
business transacted through your organisation was first class and
everything went off as promised.
I intend to advise friends and Australian relatives about you and hope they
consider your services.
All the very best for the future

Hi Visit Cairns,
We are back in Singapore - sound and safe! Would like to drop you a note
to say Thank You for the great recommendation! We have enjoyed ourselves
in Australia especially Cairns. Thought we would like to share with you
some feedback below:
A) Passion of Paradise is great fun! The crews are professional and they
are simply filled with much enthusiasm that overflow to the on-board
audience. For the first time, I am able to snorkel with much confidence
which I was not able to do so before.
B) Hot Air Balloon has a spectacular view and we were lucky to board the
flight twice on that morning. The SkyRail and Kuranda Train ride were
fun too! We took the cruise at the Barron River too - calm and peaceful!
The only thing is that we have a slight hiccup on our way back - Kuranda
Train (from Kuranda to Cairns) has two stops - we should have alighted
at Freshwater - as such, we missed our transfer back to hotel. Well,
fortunately our hotel has a pickup at Cairns City Centre and we spent
some time shopping...:)
C) Uncle Brian's Tour is simply FANTASTIC!!! We are still very much
impressed with Brian and how he led the group - truly a spectacular
One-Man-Show which we have a lot to learn.... We had great fun learning
about the rainforest, swimming at the falls and watching the wildlife (platypus)....Thanks
Uncle
Brian

Dear Visit Cairns,
Thanks so much for the fabulous vacation.
You go more the extra mile than ANY people I have ever been
associated with in the travel industry! Even when we kept changing our
plans on you, like a million times, you took it all in stride with
good humor and professionalism. When we said we wanted to get off the
beaten path, your suggestions were right on the money.
Northern Queensland is smack dab in the
middle of Gods Country, I had no idea how gorgeous it truly was.
The visit out to the reef is something I will never forget. The
Passions of Paradise crew were fun, but not obnoxious, which was
perfect. Give them a thumbs up for me! I had never gone diving before,
but talked myself into taking the plunge. They were right next to us,
holding on and guiding us, making us relax and have a good time. It
was a personal guided tour of the reef. Spectacular. Please give
a special thanks to Dudley from me.
I am still practicing on my didgeridoo,
but not making a lot of progress. I think I need to buy another one.
Jen and I are already talking about our next trip over there. We can't
wait.
Talk to you soon,
Tom and Jennifer Landers

Hi Visit Cairns,
We had a great time in Australia and
New Zealand - the best of it all being in Cairns, largely due to your
input and arranging. We have told LOTS of our friends about you,
and I am sure that if they are going to visit Cairns, they will be
contacting you.
Hope all is well. Merry
Christmas and many wishes for a Happy, Healthy New Year!

Hi Visit Cairns,
Just wanted to drop you a line and say thank you for
all your help. If it was not for your site I would still be
clueless and with your help I had the greatest vacation ever!!!!
Everything you said and wrote on the different hotels and trips was on
the money. It is strange and rare to find people who are honest
and also knows what they are talking about. My scuba trip (Ocean
Quest - Deep Sea Divers Den) was great and the most fun in the water I
have ever had!!!
Well thanks again and keep up the good work.....
