Your day begins with a morning cruise along the Mulgrave river. From the mouth of the river our destination on the The Great Barrier Reef is already in sight, making it the shortest open sea crossing in North Queensland. Welcome to Normanby Island, one of the five stunning islands that comprise the Frankland Islands.
The island’s pristine waters are a coral haven for snorkelling and diving. Visitors share the immaculate reef with green sea turtles, tropical fish and giant clams. While leisurely guided island walks take you through rainforests, rock pools and along secluded sandy beaches. You can satisfy your appetite when you dine under a canopy of trees with our tropical buffet lunch including prawns, fresh salads and tropical fruits.
Glass Bottom Boat
Enjoy coral viewing from the Glass Bottom Boat - this is an option on the Full Day Cruise and included in the all inclusive cruise.
Snorkelling
Enjoy snorkelling straight from the beach. With the fish and coral close to shore there are no long swims. This is great for children and beginners.
Semi Submarine
Enjoy a great view of the underwater world onboard the semi submersible coral viewing vessel. this is included in the all inclusive package.
Guided Snorkelling Tour
Learn about the reef surrounding the islands. This tour is conducted by a qualified marine biologist. This is included in the all inclusive package.
Guided Island Walk
Enjoy a guided tour of the island. This tour concentrates on the life in and around the shorelines rockpools. this option is included in the All Inclusive tour.
Scuba Diving

What to bring?
Just like a day at the Beach:
ie Hat, 15+ Sunscreen, swimmers, towel and comfortable shoes for beachcombing. You will be transferred from our boat to the island by dinghy so footwear may get wet.
