Please be aware that additional cost do apply when travelling to Fraser Island. All Self Drive Adventure vehicles require a $1000 vehicle bond paid prior to departure. This is generally made up of $500 in cash and $500 on credit card. All credit card bond transactions are put through as a "pre-authorisation" STARGAZER:- Your local payment of $55 covers: National park and camping permits, return ferry/barge ticket, ice, locker hire and insurance excess reducer (the insurance component will reduce the liability payable by your group in the event of a accident)
- Optional sleeping bag hire $9
- We recommend $10-$20pp for food & drinks
- You will be asked to contribute your share of the $1000 vehicle bond. Half of this is payable in cash with the remaining balance taken on credit card. The bond will be refunded in full if the vehicle is returned undamaged and has not been driven through salt water.
FREEDOM:- Optional camping equipment $25 per vehicle per day
- Camping permits $4.85 per person per day
- On collection, your 4WD will have a full tank of fuel, you will be asked to return the 4WD with a full tank of fuel
- Your $50 per vehicle per day cover the insurance excess reducer (this will reduce the liability payable by your group in the event of an accident)
